Privacy Policy

BurqAI (“we”, “us”, “the app”) respects your privacy. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

What we collect

• Account: email, full name, nationality (optional), preferred language, profile photo.
• Trip data: destinations you save, itineraries you create, places you star.
• AI usage: the messages, images, and audio you send to BurqAI's AI features to generate answers.
• Device data: platform (iOS/Android/web), app version, anonymized crash logs, notification tokens.
• Analytics: anonymous product analytics (screens visited, taps, feature usage) via Firebase Analytics.

What we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your precise GPS location without explicit consent per session.
• We do not collect contacts, photos, or files outside of what you actively upload.
• We do not sell your data. Ever.

Third-party processors

We use a small set of trusted providers under Data Processing Agreements:

• Google Firebase — authentication, analytics, notifications, crash reporting.
• MongoDB Atlas — primary data storage.
• OpenAI (via Emergent) — AI assistant responses.
• Apple / Google — App Store / Play billing when you subscribe.

Retention

Trip data and account data are kept while your account is active. Delete your account any time from Profile → Settings; we purge your data within 30 days.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You can request a copy of your data or its deletion by writing to privacy@burqai.com. We respond within 30 days.
